    Custom Upgrades

Contact me for a list of custom upgrades that I have developed over several years of repairing Variax guitars. I have solutions for some well-known problems such as bridge (piezo) grounding issues.

This photo shows a V700 with Graph Tech "Ghost" saddles as an upgrade.

    OEM / Replacement Parts

I source parts to use in repair work, and I have located sources for most of the parts that I normally need to replace (potentiometers, switches, piezos, etc.). Some are OEM (Line6/YGG), and some are after-market. I sometimes sell parts, but I can usually provide a source.

    Contact me with questions (below).

    Bridge PCB UpgradeS

I make and sell replacement Printed Circuit Boards for the V300 Bridge (Hard-Tail) and the Vibrato Bridge on the V600/700 "Tremolo" models.

These PCBs are an upgrade because they incorporate "Ground" points for each individual piezo element. This is especially important when upgrading to the Graphtek Ghost elements.

    REPLACEMENT Switches

I make and sell replacement Volume and Tone Controls and Model Switches for the V300/500/600/700 Solid-body Electric models.

I can also repair many of the JTV controls.

    REPLACEMENT CONTROLS

The Replacement/Upgrade Controls I make are based on all-new parts and PCBs.

    Custom-Built Accessories

I build custom accessories for the Variax, such as the

VGP-1 Power Supply, an upgraded replacement for the Line6 XPS-Mini.
